[Hug expected, he returns it, albeit a bit tentatively. It's not as hesitant as he used to, so.... win?]

[He motions with his thumb over his shoulder, where sure enough that painting is hung on his wall. Then he motions to a big box on his kitchen island.]

I planned on leaving it on your porch, or I'd have broken it into smaller boxes.

[it doesn't last long, but hey! archie gives good hugs. he lets go to peek over m's shoulder, standing on tiptoes.]

I didn't think you lied, y'know. [that piques his interest.] Am I comin' back with you?

I think I'll let you open it here.

[With that, he slides onto a nearby stool to watch.]

[archie is going to open it VERY CAREFULLY AND LOVINGLY, a bit like he's expecting it to explode in his face. he's not but it can't help to be careful when he doesn't know what it is, right?]

[Wow rude. It's actually just a series of smaller wrapped boxes inside. In the order they're in the box, he will find:

A pair of personalized socks with his pokemon team emblazoned on them

A bag of pokesnacks

A shirt that reads "Daddy Shark"

A small object that resembles a garage door opener

M takes a sip of his drink while he watches the excruciatingly slow process.]

[archie remains at the same magcargo-like pace, unwrapping and opening each one, oohing and aahing as appropriate.

he puts the shirt on immediately over his current shirt, but stops when he gets to the last box. frowns a bit.]

...Alright, I can't guess what this one is. I feel like if I press it then a bunch of foam or somethin's gonna explode into my place.

[He figured that might be the case. Rather than answering his question, he leans in and presses the button. On cue, one of M's Doors appears nearby.]

For when you feel like following through on that dick graffiti threat.

[Or whenever you want to visit.]

[he's actually genuinely taken aback. it's clear in his expression and how he's suddenly handling the key like it's made of glass.]

I'll-- I'll have to make good on it. [he laughs a bit awkwardly, but it's clear he's feelin SOME REAL BIG EMOTIONS. archie leans over the counter and plaps his hand on m's head.] Thanks.

[Don't worry Archie, that thing can take a beating.]

[he's still really taken aback. after the intense fuck up with andrew, archie was worried m was just... tolerating him. it's hard to think about actually being on good terms with someone after hurting them so badly. his had goes from m's head to his hand-- gives it a squeeze.]

Likewise. I'll have to get one for my place cut for you. I could get the bow of the key shaped like your mask!

[Had anything that happened between Archie and Andrew been malicious, they wouldn't be here like this right now. M would be lying if he said it didn't still sting, being lied to for so long, but he's also never been one to hold a grudge, either.

He prefers to look forward.

He returns the squeeze, patting Archie's hand with his free one.]

[Speaking of his place...]

If you need someone to help you move, I've been told I make a good pack-mule.

Plus, things go a lot quicker with Doors.

[it's why archie could never see m as the kind of person m sees himself as. many, many people wouldn't have given him another chance, even if what happened wasn't malicious. it's clear in his smile how deeply he appreciates and cherishes the moment they're having.]

That's one word for it... [he snorts, shakes his head. crosses his arms.] Thanks, but I'll be alright. I'm startin' new-- selling on most of the stuff in my old place and gettin' new furniture. Sometimes you just gotta let go, y'know?

[M pats his hand again.]

[M chuckles at that, and motions to the kitchen.]

Sounds like a plan. Liquor's on the door in the fridge. Take your pick.

[If he noses in his cabinet looking for glasses, he will find several cabinets full of peanut butter depending on which door he tries.

It's weird.]

[he does! and opens and closes them a few times. laughs. points to one, looking at m.]

That one's called Nut Butter!

[he finally gets some glasses out, then goes for the liquor.]

You'd be amazed at the lack of creativity some companies have.

[He starts digging around for the tv remote should they choose to go that route. He can't remember the last time he turned it on.]
